House Rules and Arrival/Departure Instructions

We hope you enjoy your stay with us in historic Paris, Idaho!

Rules

  • Not permitted: Pets (no exceptions), guns, alcoholic beverages, smoking, fireworks, or briquette grills. If you would like to cook outdoors, reserve Paris City Park (6 blocks away) by calling (208) 945-2253 on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
  • No food or beverages in sleeping rooms. Use the Banquet Hall or Dining Room for meals, snacks, and drinks.
  • Please do not move beds or switch mattresses. Do not move furniture or take furniture outside.
  • Towels: for use in the bathrooms only; do not take towels to the lake or remove from the property or use for cleaning. There are rags available for cleaning.
  • Kitchen
    • Do not put anything hot directly on countertops
    • Do not put coolers on countertops. Take Coolers outside once food is put in the refrigerator. Please do not leave coolers with ice on the floors inside.
    • Kitchen Towels: provided to dry dishes. Do not use for cleaning (use rags provided under sink).
    • Melamine Dishes: are dishwasher safe but should not be used in the microwave.
    • Pans: follow instructions in cabinet for use and cleaning.
  • Trash: Trash day is Tuesday. Please put out cans on Monday night and bring them back in by Tuesday night; bagged trash only.
  • Washers and dryers: for management use only
  • Turn off lights when not in use or when you leave the building.
  • Keep exterior doors locked when away from the building.
  • For temperature control, contact management (please do not adjust the heat or air).
  • Do not turn off outdoor sprinklers. Call management if you do not want sprinklers on the grass. Note: sprinklers go on early every morning in the Summer.
  • Do not enter livery areas

Parking

Please park in your designated spots for the building you are staying in:

  • The Bear Lake Paris Inn (181 S Main St.): located in the lot south of the building.
  • The Paris Lumber Company (180 S Main St.): in the adjacent corner lot.

Keep street parking to a minimum.

Before Departure

Allow time for clean up!

Instructions:

  • For all used beds, take off sheets and lay them on the bed slept in.
  • Towels: put in laundry basket near washer and dryer or leave on bathroom counters (do not leave on beds or on floors).
  • Wash all dishes (if there is a dishwasher turn it on prior to leaving).
  • Kitchen: do not use scrubbers on stainless steel; use only soft cloth and stainless cleaner.
  • Take out all trash.
  • Remove everything from the refrigerator and wipe off shelves.
  • Sweep floors and vacuum.
  • Clean up yard of any debris from your use.
  • Before departure: please turn off lights, close windows, and lock outside doors (but not sleeping room doors).
